Let her know the same thing I told my daughter when she was very young. It’s a constant smile and a positive attitude that makes people beautiful or not, and everybody is capable of both, if they choose.

We have an annual Father’s Day clam bake for family and friends. It is very spendy but that special time when everyone makes time to come together is priceless. This will be #18!! First one 20 people. We have had 90.

Yes! Self care and health go hand in hand! Whether your self care is hair, skin, or weekly massages I think it’s fantastic! I have an autoimmune disease and my hair has gotten thinner, my skin is much dryer, and my body can hurt during a flare up. I see these things quite often as I’m a body worker doing orthopedic manual therapy and self-care is very important!

Beauty comes in all forms, such a shame that kids/people can be so cruel to one another. Your daughter is absolutely stunning! So glad to hear she found something that makes her feel confident but so sorry she had to make a change to feel that way.

We have subcategories for saving too! Car, vacations, home repair, etc. it feels like it takes longer to get a lot saved but the motivation is incredible when it’s for something you really want.

I save for everything I can possibly think of that I will need to pay for over 2 weeks, the month and the year. But I also have things in there like a vacation. I pick a Word of the Year and 2019 is “Fun” so I have added that category. I want money to say yes when fun presents itself. Went bowling out of the blue last weekend.

Hair can have such a big impact on how you feel about yourself. She looks gorgeous and I’m glad this style made her happy and confident!

Luckily, she’s born in a time where YouTube hair tutorials are abundant. I did my hair since 3rd grade and did not actually learn how to do my hair in a healthy way until I was a sophomore in college. The thing that really helped me was to find people with similar hair as me on YouTube and practice, practice, practice. If these braids work for her and she wants to continue with it then that’s great! If she wants different styles every once in a while, I suggest YouTube.

It’s so frustrating yet so rewarding learning your hair..
