      (I’m a Professional Dumpster Diver)
Today I also found 3 bottles of bleach, 2 pack of iceberg lettuce, 6 lb bag of raw sugar, 2 razors, 1 dental floss, 1 toothpaste, 1 large pkg blueberries, 4 small pkgs blackberries, 1 wheat bread, chocolate donuts, bag of oranges and a few other things from various stores.

Last night I found three 34 lb bags of Purina pro plan, one 16 lb bag of pro and 4 candles.

I got BAD food poisoning the one time I ate a salad a college friend made from dumpster diving obtained lettuce.

That being said, when I lived in Vietnam, my friends taught me to wash raw veggies in a mixture of salt, vinegar and water to kill off pathogens.

        I would recommend that.

Just be careful with bagged lettuce. Even store-bought bagged lettuce can carry pathogens.

I would worry about the dog food. If it’s not expired, it may have been in the heat outdoors long enough to become rancid. Causing pets to become sick.

Don’t know where you are but as the weather gets warmers, a lot of dog food gets too hot in trucks and warehouses.

It’s hard to see it by looking at it also.

I wish I could do this here..so much stuff that people could use just get put in the garbage. such a waste.

Especially with all the people that are starving.

I’d like to go on trash 9. When everyone says they’ll trash out to see the step that they’re throwing out like furniture.

You just have no idea why food was thrown away, I once had to throw out a ton of produce where I worked because it had been contaminated when they sprayed for bugs, so I was just be weary of why it’s in the trash.

Are you destitute? I understand frugal, but this is too much unless you are so broke you can’t afford to buy anything.

Where do you start? How do ok know which dumpsters actually throw away good things?

To risky. ou have no idea why items where thrown out. I’ve worked retail and know many times chemicals were spilled on items and they had to be thrown out.

Rodents waste is toxic. So, if it has rodent pee on it, you can get very sick. The dog food probably is recalled. Very common for Purina products.

Plus, their naturally horrible for animals.

If not recalled commonly get bugs in them. Or again something spilled on it that’s harmful.

I’d never risk my family or pets to save a buck.
