Anyone using fidelity for investing? I recently opened one and deposited some money a week ago. Still haven’t got my money cleared.

Called fidelity and they said it usually takes 3 weeks to clear.

Most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard. I can’t even withdraw and put it into another brokerage that can clear me in 2-3 days. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

      Any advice helps!

That’s strange. I had my funds in my Charles Schwab account the day after verifying my bank account.

Bank ETFs take 4 weeks to clear in Fidelity Brokerage account now and it used to take 5 days. I called and spoke to them and they said it is due to fraud and that ETFs can be reversed.

Haven’t sent them an ETF since this happened last time I transferred funds.

Ridiculous policy. Clears for investing in 5 days but not available for withdrawal for 4 weeks.

Fidelity and a couple other brokerages recently reported some hacking. The delay with deposits/withdrawals is now going to be a common thing to “verify “.

I think my initial deposit was 3 or 4 days. Now it is usually next day.

The entire US banking system is an abysmal failure at sending money quickly and cheaply (or free).

It’s an embarrassment in this age of technology. Way behind the instant transfers allowed in Europe.

I just started using it for my HSA account. It took about 1.5 weeks to show the funds available for investing.

That’s not normal. My funds normally cleared within 2 to 3 days coming in or out. I used them for the last 6 years.

It’s annoying. In the future recommend ‘sending’ money from your bank instead of pulling from fidelity.

I transferred from US Bank to Fidelity via bank etf a few days ago and it was literally real time. I was really surprised.

The funds were available same day for trading.

Maybe it’s something specific to the second financial institution?
