I just don’t like to work for other people, especially when I get old. I like having time with my family and for myself and you can’t do that if Justin needs to maintain the numbers.
NoaMy boss was upset I took 6 weeks off when I had my son. Basically, I lost trust in people to support me in times of need.
I’m not from the US, but live here now. I expect if I ever got sick, I’d quickly get fired, lose my insurance, and quickly become destitute. It’s sad but happens so often. I want to have the freedom to better navigate life’s crises when they happen.
But besides this pretty depressing motivation, having the freedom to choose how to spend your life is pretty exciting!
Good luck!
OwenSimple Path to Wealth-JL Collins is a good read.
