I just saved a lot of money. My car needs new tires. Les Schwab quoted $383.00.

Discount tire quoted $220!!! It pays to shop around!

Do both tires have the same life expectancy? Just gotta be careful with that. Sometimes cheap tires will only be rated for 40,000 miles.

It might be worth it to buy tires for a little more money that are rated for 60,000 miles.

I’ve had to replace 3 tires from discount tire. I got lucky considering the warranty, but overall, highly recommend the dealership tires

My dad got quoted a high price from where he buys tires; he says I ain’t paying that, find me a cheaper one, and they did.

            Most shops want your business.

Make sure you are getting equal service. Mr Tire’s quotes may not include installment and balancing fees.

Although, you may be installing them yourself.

We saved quite abit by buying online and taking them in to be put on my car.

My husband is very knowledgeable about anything to do with cars so we were comfortable about buying them this way.

I don’t know that Discount Tires still offers this but when I bought my last set of tires for an extra $25/per tire I got a warranty that includes replacement no matter what causes the tire damage.

The first two years it was free, now it’s $25.

I have ruined two tires hitting potholes, picked up nails, you name it.

So far I have replaced a tire 7 times. It was well worth that extra money.

4 tires for $220? so many questions. Did does that include installation? Where do these four tires fall on the quality scale (high to low)?

                      Are they retreads?

                      Are they used?

I love discount tire, but don’t buy crap tires. It seems like for decent tires, for a normal car, they come out to be about 100 per tire.

Check the production date they may be “new” tires that were produced 10 years ago! Check the side of the tire … there is an oval… with 4 numbers on it …

first 2 numbers are the week of production 2nd 2 numbers are the year … .

I love Discount Tire. The only place to buy tires. They stand behind their sales and they have lots of stores so if you’re on the road traveling, they can service your tires if you’re on vacation.

                            They’re America’s Best in California.

We were visiting in Palm Springs, caught a nail in our tire, and was able to get it fixed.

                            Two thumbs up!

Are they the exact same tire? Does one have life time rotation and balance?

I have stopped going to discount mechanics. I found a good, reliable, independent, mechanic that I trust.

I only buy batteries, tires and other auto items from them.

I believe I have saved in the long run.
