Can someone walk me through the bathtub stripping process for extremely dirty fabrics? I have a fabric liner from the trunk of my vehicle that unknowingly had water sitting in it from a roof leak a few weeks ago.
It won’t fit in the washer/dryer, so I’ve decided that stripping it in the bathtub is my best option. It’s in there with washing powders and baking soda currently soaking.
I’m agitating it every once in a while with a broom handle. Not really sure what comes next as far as rinsing & drying.
Any tips/tricks?
KellyWhat makes you think it needs to be stripped as opposed to just washed?
KayGet in there and walk in circles exercise and work it
MicheleI would use my feet and stomp it a bunch be careful it may be slippery… Drain water and do clear water rinse to remove soap.
Hang outside over a fence or patio chair to dry
AndreaWhy not take it to a laundromat & use one of those huge front loading washers. It’ll cost <$10
