What are some of your favorite frugal food orders? Sometimes you don’t have the capacity or time to cook and just need to get everyone fed.
For example: Pizza Hut has a carryout dinner box deal that has a medium 1 topping pizza, garlic sticks and cinnastix for $14.99.
Not the healthiest but it easily feeds a family of 4 on those busy nights when you can’t cook in your kitchen.
MelanieOur pizza hut has a large with 3 toppings for $10 rn and our Wendy’s has the jr baconator for $3.
Arby’s has 2 fish sandwiches for $6.
SaraChinese lunch specials…which are at least two meals for me.
KimberlyFast food isn’t always a great option, especially for a family with multiple people.
The best frugal quick meal I make is a rotisserie chicken, with rice and a vegetable.
DianeSometimes it pays to look for “Kids eat Free” meals. Several Chains offer those, From Dickey’s to Ihop some have certain Day restrictions example: Chipotle: Offers free kids’ meals on Sundays.
ElisaI always try to go to places where I get a meal deal that is will lead me to have leftovers a for my lunch
JulieSam’s Club if that’s an option. Hot dog or pizza combo, add a pretzel if you need more carbs. $1.38, $2.38 or $1.00 respectively I think Then buy a rotisserie chicken $4.99 and a two pack of soup $8 and some salad greens $3-$5 and you’ve got multiple meals
KatiIf you have the McDonald’s app they always have things heavily discounted or free on there.
DenniseIf you have to eat out because you can’t get home and can’t bring anything with you I find Tacobell as the cheapest option I can find without specials or coupons.
Otherwise, I keep microwaved options at home… burritos, pasta, soup.
You can get 8 frozen burritos for under $5 at Walmart, microwave in just a few minutes.
LucindaLunch specials (pretty much everywhere), app specials at Dominos, the $10 pizza on Thursday night at the local place.
On the rare occasions I hit McDonald’s, I order through the app and save quite a lot.
JoyJiffy trip has $2 hot dogs every day.
Popeyes has $1 chicken leg quarters on Tuesdays. Many Mexican restaurants have taco tuesdays for $1
Taco Bell has cravings value menu. Most items under $2
Most restaurants have a value menu.JuliePapa Murphy’s Cheesy bread. Comes with Marinara. We much preferred the classic version and often ate just that as a meal for one of two.
Could pair well with a salad. The new five cheese is still passable
ScarletFast food places have cheap meals. Wendy’s has biggie bags, Burger king has an equivalent, McDonalds has 5 or 6 dollar meals.
Use the apps every time. They come with a burger fries and chicken nuggets.
You could get 2 meals and divide it.
Maybe add an extra order of fries to make it more substantial. Or get points and add a burger with your points.
CindyWe don’t eat out, but when Mrs. Bud’s chicken pies are on sale, like today…$6.99 each, I splurge and get two.
It feeds 3 of us and there’s leftovers for my husband’s lunch the next day.
MicheleZehrs broasted bucket of chicken and potatoes wedges. Coupons for subway or Mc D. Build your own subs at home and buy a pre-made salad. Little ceasers.
Pizza Hut when it buy one regular and get $5 ones after that get extra for lunch the next day.
Local restaurants deals, chucks road house.
