Hello I hope everyone’s well?
I recently scheduled a meeting with a financial advisor to better assist me in areas that I am struggling with and help me reach FIRE. It is my first time having this type of meeting and I would appreciate suggestions on questions I could ask him? I am sure he would have a ton of questions for me and I think it’s only right that I have some tactical questions for him as well.
Thanks in advance!
DrewMake sure they charge you an hourly fee and not a fee for assets under management.
JoeKnow your goal.
Be sure it’s realistic in terms of schedule/time and lifestyle. It’s impossible for anyone to advise someone that doesn’t know what they want or when they want it.
DrewWhat are the services provided? Some develop a holistic plan, that includes things like estate planning, charge for a suite of services a flat fee, others may charge an hourly rate or a percentage based on assets managed?
JoeIs a $800 annual fee and 1% managed account unreasonable to pay for a fiduciary CFP?
