Can anyone tell me a good detergent to use to clean the kitchen floor (frugal) and won’t make them sticky after it dries? Floors are linoleum.

I’m looking for something effective, affordable, and easy to use, without leaving a sticky residue.

Any recommendations or DIY solutions would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks.

Vinegar and water works well and is very economical.

Spic and span, leaves no residue so you don’t have to rinse the floors after using it.

I use vinegar, hot water, and a Gain Fling pod. Works wonderfully and smells heavenly!

I have a steam floor mop. You just fill the reservoir with water. I bought reusable pads off Amazon for $10.

I sometimes fill the container with a 1/4 vinegar and rest water. But it’s awesome because I used to buy Bona pads and cleaners.

It cost like $40/month. Now I spend nothing.

Mr. Clean or PineSol have been my go-to’s. I don’t think Bona does a good job and I have LVP (luxury vinyl plank) which says you can’t use vinegar, bleach or hot water and definitely no steam mops.

If your linoleum isn’t a solid sheet, I wouldn’t use a steam mop on that either.

It should only be used on sealed surfaces and without seams since the steam can cause them to buckle/warp.

I us ZEP neutral ph floor cleaner. Yes, it cost 12 dollars for a gallon but only requires 2 oz per gallon of water and since I started using this (over 2 years ago) I haven’t had the yellowing or buildup.

The one gallon lasts 64 floor moppings.
