Why don’t FIRE seekers consider relocating to low-cost countries?

      Geoarbitrage does exist and people do it. Personally I prefer to ensure good quality healthcare and ability to communicate with the staff in a reasonable manner in case something happens to me.

      Anyway, 10 years seems just fine, not sure what’s your problem with it.

        Language difference, cultural difference, unfamiliar with the area, safety, no family or friends there, political unrest, lack of freedoms, poor healthcare, etc.

        For those that immigrated such as yourself have an advantage in some of these areas with probably Dual citizenship, language ect.

        Also, usually the cheaper the country the standard of living gets lower.

          Who says we’re not considering relocating to other countries? It’s called Geographic Arbitrage and a ton of people practice it.

          Some obviously can’t do it because they have to stay put and work in a city with a high cost of living.

          But I work online and have spent a ton of time in Southeast Asia over the past 5 years.

              People want options as priority changes when they age. What if one day you want to escape Pakistan to live elsewhere for whatever reason?
