My housemates are incapable of giving me my mail in a timely manner. I just got sticker shock pricing a PO Box. Any work arounds to get a PO Box any cheaper?

      What are some affordable.

I’m looking for cost-effective solutions, preferably with flexible options for individuals or small businesses.

Any recommendations or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Giving you your mail in a timely manner? Is it not your responsibility to collect your mail from where ever it is?

Give your roommates a place to put it where you can later collect it at a time of your choosing.

Perhaps a box next to the front door or…what ever works for your house.

it seems your best interest would be served by a PO Box
Try the UPS store- they have options there.

I loved my PO (US mail service) box. The privacy was great. Worth every penny.

Can you get to the mailbox first or put a box in the front hall where they deposit your mail?

There are locking mailboxes. I would replace what you have with the locking kind, and you should be the only one with the key… Don’t even give that person an opportunity to discuss it.

You can tell her you’ve already tried to discuss it with her and nothing works out, so from now on you will be the person responsible for getting the mail and distributing it, since she’s been so unreasonable and irresponsible.

How much mail do you actually get? Can you switch your bills to online? I probably walk over to the mailbox every 3 or 4 days.

Are you able to get set up with like a ½ box for your own apartment?
Based on a previous comment it seems like you live in separate areas? Not like roommates?

You should each have your own separate box, if that’s the case, I’d like to think?

I’m not positive but you might be able to hold/stop delivery and pick up at the post office if that’s an option for you.

Are you the owner of the house? If so, you could get a new mailbox that is opened with a key? Only ipu would have the key.

Our names have one. At least that is what it looks like.

It has a slat for the incoming mail that the mail carrier could put the mail in for you.

See if the owner of the unit allows you to add an additional box at your cost with your name on it

I agree with people saying UPS stores are cheaper. PO Box prices vary greatly by town and post office so it might be worth it to check the next town over.

Also, there are virtual mailbox services that will receive your mail, scan it, and email it to you for very cheap

You can sign up online at the USPS site to see what mail is being delivered to your address. It’s free. Then you will know when you have something delivered.

Getting a box at a mail box etc place is cheaper. Their rates are usually set by how rural/metro the area is.

Create a “business” email. Direct all important mail (bills, licenses, etc) to it. Switch everything to paperless and to go to that email.
