I have a small glass baking dish I left in oven too long. How do I get the baked on food? It has soaked for days, no luck.
I often struggle with cleaning baked-on food from my glass baking dishes. No matter how much I soak or scrub, there always seems to be some residue left behind, especially after cooking casseroles or roasted dishes.
I’m looking for effective and safe ways to get rid of that stubborn, stuck-on food without damaging the dish.
What methods or cleaning products do you recommend? Are there any natural or DIY solutions that actually work well?
I’ve heard of using baking soda or vinegar, but I’m not sure how to apply them properly.
Any tips or step-by-step techniques that have worked for you would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

PascalBaking soda and water, bring up to almost a boil in oven, let cool completely in oven and then wash.
RoxanaHot water with vinegar, let it sit for a while, and then use scouring powder

The softener in the soap softens the baked on food for easier cleaning.
KayDrop on down into a big boiler add one dishwasher tablet..leave on low for a hour or so turn off and check ..if it’s not ready leave for a few hours as it cools…then scrub
ChristineAfter soaking – flat plastic scraper. Or something similar to a bench scraper

ShaheenPut some lemon slices and a squirt of fairy liquid, with water and cook on low heat, this also works on burnt pots!
ErinIf the baking soda soak doesn’t work, fill it with baking soda and water and put it in the oven on medium-low.
I use this trick on pans by boiling the water in the stove and it’s super helpful so this should work
TristiaI have had good luck using either dishwasher liquid or the pods. Fill the pan with hot water and the dishwasher soap and let soak overnight
RennyToss it, and purchase a new one. Sometimes ya just gotta start over. With the new one, always remember your non stick cooking spray.
ClaryPowdered Bar Keeper’s Friend and a little water. Soak for awhile and then scrub.
Alternatively, spray with oven cleaner as per instructions.
MargerySoak it again with regular dish soap and add two small dryer sheets. Soak for a day or two.
Repeat if needed.
