How do you add a million plus to a 401k in 5-7 years?
SamI don’t know what you are asking. Brokers are how to get your money on an exchange. Which one you use doesn’t matter for investing.
I don’t know what you mean by experienced resource? Advisors protect your money.
Yes, they know a lot about securities.
RobertWhy do you need a broker or a “financial advisor”- which is what I think they’re called these days. I’ve often said this; and I have no problem saying this again – a broker or a “financial advisor” is someone who is going to supposedly tell you how to make money from money.
But here’s the thing – if this dude (and most of them are dudes) could really make money from money… Would he be working a job?
No, he’d be sitting on a beach in Brazil, sipping drinks and boffing as many bronze-skinned babes as he could. (hope I didn’t offend anybody; but I call them like I see them.).
I did not need a broker when, back in 1993, I dumped my entire 401(k) into a fun that mimics the S&P 500. Then I forgot about it.
You might want to get with a financial planner – those folks charged by the hour and they charge a flat fee to take a snapshot of your situation and indicate to you what your options might be – but that’s a different breed than a financial advisor.
I’ve used financial planner previously to help brainstorm ideas about income withdrawal from my 401(k), and the likely effecti of taxes…… but you can also use a good CPA or a good tax accountant for that.
