Background: combined income of 130- 140k.
Husbands investment accounts: 65k
Wife investment accounts:
– 401k (employer manages this) 53k
– Roth IRA (FSKAX): 10k
– Brokerage account (FXAIX): 15k
– Total savings: 100k
– IBonds:10k
– House: 350k (200k left on mortgage)
Total network: 403k including house equity.
No debt besides house.
I’m 26 and my husband is 33. I’m looking for advice and see if what I’m doing is correct? Our goal is to retired early or maybe get part time jobs. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you.
SantiagoThat savings seems a bit too high.
I would start DCA some of that into the market.
Even if you kept 12 months worth of reserves, you’d be able to invest another 50k.
$50k invested now earning 8% over the next 30 years would generate an extra $500k towards your retirement.
LeeSounds like you’re on it, but what is your spending requirement? Kids?
