Single mom of two almost done with BS3. I eventually want to own my own home but not sure how long it will take to save up for a good down payment.
Also not sure if I’m living in the area that I would want to end up purchasing.
Should I go into BS3B for an indefinite time period while not saving for retirement or kids college fund?
How long should I save for a home if not going to purchase in 3-5 years?
MicheleWe saved the 20% then started investing while we continued saving. We ended up
Putting about 50% down on our first place. Good luck on your journey to financial peace.Jed DursoWith no definite plans to actually buy a house, I’d move to BS4 and BS5 knowing you can always go back to BS3B when you figure out your plans?
ErinI think the general idea is to only put off BS4 for up to a couple years if you’re doing BS3B, then you need to be contributing to BS4 (BS5 is personal preference).
