Hey y’all! I just maxed my first Roth IRA. I have VOO QQM SCHD WMT. I should just leave it right?
Even though our going down??
Given current market conditions and long-term growth potential, should I hold this allocation or make adjustments? Would love to hear your thoughts!
RobYes. I max out both or IRAs the first week of the year. Most years it works out, others it doesn’t. That’s all short term!
The one thing I don’t do is sell and let fear cause me to lose profits!!
MarkI would stop watching the news and checking my account all the time
TomOnly Rookies sell when the market goes down, the rest of us buy at a discount
TomyI’d consult a professional, but I’m definitely buying the dip and not selling anything.
MikeNever sell in a down market especially if you don’t need the money till retirement.
My uncle and mentor told me when I first started investing when the markets up you’re making money when its down buying cheap when it’s up you’re making money when it’s down you’re buying cheap and to just keep on buying and repeating those words.
Nowadays when I see red I buy more.
PriscillaIt’s ok to be nervous. This is a fun rollercoaster that’ll make you more queasy the more you watch the drops.
You’re young and hopefully we all end up on top at our time!
ClintonLeave it, max out and don’t watch the news. The only news you need is at retirement when you have 7 figures plus to worry about!
JonathanSince I’m 8 years away from fire I don’t bother watching the market.
I max all my income already and have nothing extra to invest if the market goes down.
