So, my frugal win for right now is that I have learned to alter my clothing. I have lost nearly 50 pounds and as I am sure you know, my clothes don’t fit so well anymore! I have a simple needle and thread and I am using a stitch that allows me to hide the alterations and I get to use my clothes longer!
I am still losing weight and clothes are too expensive to get rid of!
The best part is that the stitches can be removed if I start to gain weight again.
Hopefully that won’t happen!
ChrisI lost 100 lbs & I took in my t-shirts with a French seam down the back. Very effective way, no raw seams. Then I took in my Capris & jeans with a seam in the back, around to the front, under the crotch. The pants were all simple pull on style with elastic. Even after 9 yrs they still fit. I had many pairs, over 25 (I love clothes & get most of my clothes at Yard sales.
MelissaCongratulations on your weight loss and ingenuity!
