Hello all! I’m looking for advice to clean the upper, inner part of an air fryer. It’s HORRIBLE. Also, I have respiratory issues.

What’s the safest and most effective way? Since this area is tricky to reach and often collects grease, I want to make sure I’m cleaning it properly without damaging any components.

Do you have any tips, recommended tools, or cleaning solutions that work well for this?

Any dos and don’ts to keep in mind?

I have asthma – I first unplug it. take paper napkins and wipe inside to get off any grease. I then take a dish cloth a put a little Dawn power wash on the rag and wipe down the inside.

Let it sit for a few minutes. Then I wipe it down again with more.

Rinse rag. Wipe down the inside until no soap is visible (rinse between wipe). Let air dry for a day or 2 before use.

        Works for mine.

HOT water and a rag can do the job and not affect your breathing, but it may be time consuming depending how long it’s been building up

I wipe, clean my Emeril French Door 360 after each use; warm cloth with Dawn.

I’ve kept silicone liners below bottom heating elements for months; super simple to wipe off.

Cover bottom tray will run foil for easy clean up. Just replace with a new piece when it gets dirty.

                Try
Pour water in air fryer and turn air fryer on for 2 min – spill and clean basket and tray

It will steam up and loosen the grease/dirt so for the inner/upper part now

wipe with rag/ dish soap etc as usual

I put a couple drops of dawn in with water. Run it about 10 minutes.

If the airfryer has a Teflon coating, proceed with caution.
