What is your favorite frugal tip or thing that you started this year? I am making a list of frugal things I can add this next year!
Starting off strong with a pantry/freezer challenge. I cleaned out and organized my pantry so I can easily see what I have on hand to create meals with.
I’m allowing myself purchases of milk/fresh fruits and veggies but I’m going to use up everything I have for as long as I can be creative
MoniqueDid grocery pick up so I did not impulse buy- always stuck to my list with my meal plan
MelissaThe most frugal thing I did in 2024 was sell a ton of stuff on marketplace because I was moving. I even sold my Jeep and got the Kelly blue book value in cash.
This definitely helped us get through the year.
KodyOur electric company offers a ‘pay ahead’ version where you keep a credit balance and they deduct your usage cost daily. You get a daily text of you on peak, off peak and total usage with the total balance left.
Subtract the amount from the previous day to get the dollar amount.
I LOVE this because I can note what and when I used electric (like the dishwasher) and make sure it is in off peak time and make adjustments immediately to help the electric bill!!
The traditional way is pay in arrears so by the time you get the bill, you forgot the what/when and makes it really hard to make adjustments and lower your bill.
YaniMake my rent payments through Flex & every time I’m paid I put my 2 payments directly into the app so I know it’s covered & how much money I’ll have left until my next check.
& Redownload Ibotta for money back on groceries.
RitaI stucked my pantry becouse 30.12 was Last day at work. I am looking for New job. Meenwhile I have full of food
JenniferChecking weekly grocery store ads and planning shopping list based on ads.
And freezer list!
